High school friends Andrew Lardy & Issamu Kamide took their love of science, culinary flair, and wine from Richmond, Virginia to California to completely disrupt the fermented beverage industry. “The Wonderwerk House of Fermentation” is their entry into the wine space, crafting beverages that are a homage to life, music and disco!
From the winemakers: “This vintage we focused a lot on the idea of ‘flavor’: how to build flavors through blends? What flavors consumers are looking for? What is a ‘flavor forward’ wine? ‘BIG ORANGE’ is meant to deliver on a larger format, easy to drink Orange wine for the masses. When people say they like ‘Orange wine’ what do they mean? Well, we think this is it.”
Big Orange is a skin-contact "orange wine" that's all about texture. A blend of Muscat Canelli, Symphony, Sauvignon Blanc, and Torrontes from select vineyards around California, this wine spends time on its grape skins, pulling in a golden hue and a bit of tannic grip. Aromatically, it’s a wild ride—orange peel, jasmine, apricot, and something a little herbal. On the palate, it’s zippy, textural, and endlessly drinkable. If you’re new to orange wines, this is an easy and fun one to explore.
Bonus value: it's a 1 liter bottle - more wine to enjoy and to share!
