Soaring 350 meters above sea level, the vines are encased in granite soil and  the vineyard is east facing exposure which allows for beautiful morning to afternoon sun

This wine is fruit forward, full of ripe yet slightly stewed cranberry and strawberry on both nose and palate. There's minimal tension on the palate, medium acidity, and a hint of earthiness. 

Semi-carbonic in whole clusters, Fermentation happens in stainless and cement tanks Natural Yeasts and minimal sulfur at bottling.

About the Producer

Domaine Canard is a sixth-generation estate now run by father and son, Marc and Vincent Canard. ​Vincent enjoyed a storied career as a professional cyclist and in 2015 he returned to the estate to join his father in farming the family vineyards and making wine that truly represents the terroir of the various Crus of Beaujolais.
