60% Pinot Meunier, 30% Pinot Noir, 10% Chardonnay

A high (60%) amount of older Reserve Champagne has gone into this mature blend.
Based in Sacy, one of the 44 Premier Cru villages, Frédérique Poret of Champagne Dumenil is making easy-to-love wines. The triple influence of chalk, sand and clay, typical of the village of Sacy, Premier Cru in La Montagne de Reims--produces superbly balanced blends with the dominant sandy soil bringing extra lightness to enhance the full, ripe fruit aromas (citrus fruit, stewed fruit and honeyed floral notes).

Disgorging : To impart the luscious roundness on the finish each bottle is disgorged 4 months before despatch and given a dosage made of aged wine and cane sugar. Aged 3 years in cellar before release.

Tasting notes: Pale gold in color with a satiny finish and fine, lively bubbles. The nose is discreet at first with hints of fresh fruit before opening out to release riper fruit aromas (apples, stone fruit). The mouth is full, well balanced and elegant.

About the Producer Based in Sacy, one of the 44 Premier Cru villages, Frédérique Poret of Champagne Dumenil is making easy-to-love wines. The story of Champagne Duménil goes back to its foundation in 1874 and owes a great deal to a happy combination of skill in both viticulture and in wine-making that was a rarity at the end of the XIX century. Frédérique Poret is the great granddaughter of the founder of the house and today she is the creative inspiration behind the blending of the champagnes. Her husband, Hugues, is from a long line of vignerons in the nearby village of Sacy, Premier Cru, and he has the knack of bringing the best out of each plot of vines so that each reveals its own individual character. They each play an equal part in the wine making and in bringing the spirit of Champagne Duménil to life.
